​       Goa...The name says it all.A place which must be having a record of  being the most desired destination for youths(apparently).

What to See:-

-Beaches:

     Goa has well over 25 amazing beaches ranging from the full-of-life party destinations to the serene and peaceful ones.North Goa offers sprightly beaches like Baga, Calangute, Anjuna and Arambol, that necklace the northern coastline. Lip-smacking delicacies from the Konkan cuisine with cocktails and mocktails to go along.These beaches make your holiday experience complete.

South Goa is rather mellow, with serene beaches like Colva, Palolem and Galgibaga which are cut off from the world, but really worth paying a visit if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

 

-Aguada Fort:

      Aguda Fort is a wonderful fort located in the hills.It can be noticed in movies like Dil Chahta Hai and few other. This ancient fort in North Goa offers splendid views of the adjoining Vagator beach and overlooks the Arabian Sea from all angles. The fort is located on top of a hillock with slopes on all sides, and though it is almost in ruins now,for photo freaks it's the ultimate destination to get indulge in photography.

-Basilica de Bom Jesus:
     This is a world heritage site and a must visit when in Goa.One of the most important attractions here are the mortal remains of the missionary Saint Francis Xavier.It is believed to have been preserved without the use of any chemicals. Adding to it the grand interiors of the church will leave you awestruck the moment you enter. Although photography is restricted here,people find a way to get some clicked in an impulse

-Get indulge in water sports:

      The lovely beaches here are perfectly suited for a number of water sporting activities such as windsurfing, dinghy sailing,scuba diving, water skiing, angling, parasailing, water scooter and swimming. Indulging in these activities is definitely one of the best things to do in Goa.

-Try your luck at one of the casinos:

      A visit to one of Goa’s several casinos should be on your to-do list as Goa has some exceptional avenues to put your stakes on.Goa houses some of the best casinos in the country. Even if you’re not a big gambler,cruising on the seas is a great way to relax. Some casinos you can head to are Caravela, and Casino Royale ( floating casinos  anchored on the Mandovi River in Panjim).

-Eat,dance,sing and drink:

     Once the sun sets behind the sea, this place gets livelier by the minute. 
Picture this, tables with candle-lamps and beach chairs by the water with live music or karaoke performances in the background. One of the things you’ll find everywhere in Goa are the beach shacks. While they are open from morning,it’s after the nightfall when these shacks liven up with bright lights, music and cocktails.A wide range of music is played there with matching varieties of cocktails and alcohol with different cuisines,leaving you spoilt for choices.You can practically get a drink anywhere in the Goa,till late night, thanks to its liberal laws and lower taxes pertaining to alcohol.

To get around:-

Taxis: Much of Goa is well-connected with roads and it is not hard to get good rates for taxis and rented cars as well. One can either book a taxi in advance from tour operators/taxi rentals or hire cabs on a direct payment basis from the airport or railway station.

Self drive: Hiring cars and motorcycles on self-drive basis is a popular transport option in Goa. This is one of the best and most economical ways to tour the beach capital on your own. Just grab a two-wheeler or four-wheeler by submitting an ID proof and set off on the ultimate trip around Goa!
